Meet Founder and Executive Director ~ Lady A

Blues and Blessings Foundation

Meet our Founder

Lady A ~ The Real Lady A is a Washington Blues Society multi-award-winning Blues, Soul, and Gospel performing artist, community advocate, teaching artist, RSI and music workshop facilitator, and the heart behind Lady A's Blues and Blessings Foundation.

Those who are familiar with my work through Lady A Productions know it's never been just about the music. It's about what music can do, how it moves people, and our responsibility as artists and community leaders to truly lead—by serving those in need, mentoring those who are finding their way, preserving the cultural traditions and stories that have been passed down, and sharing those stories and traditions in community.

Rooted in lived experience and guided by faith, I created Lady A's Blues and Blessings Foundation because I believe every voice matters, every story deserves to be heard, and strong communities are built when we come together. Through the Foundation, I use music, storytelling, mentorship, workshops, and community outreach to uplift seniors, support youth and families, and stand alongside our neighbors experiencing homelessness or food insecurity.

This work is about turning sound into service, blessings into action, and creating opportunities for people to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen the communities we call home.

We are blessed to be a blessing.
